Did LinkedIn just categorize you as "not relevant"?

Oh no! LinkedIn might have categorized you as "not relevant".

Check these 6 things to fix that:

  1. Your banner: how clearly you position yourself at a glance

  2. Your headline: the 80-ish characters that follow you everywhere

  3. Your About: what value you bring

  4. Your Featured: proof of your work and clear next steps

  5. Your posts: the topics and value you consistently show

  6. Your comments: how you think and if you add quality to conversations

All these things need to WORK TOGETHER around the same theme.

Combined, they tell LinkedIn:

“This is who I am.
This is what I’m an expert in.
These are the people who should see my content.”

(By the way, this is why you don’t need hashtags anymore.)

LinkedIn's built-in algorithm 360 Brew analyzes your content, your profile, and your conversations to understand where you belong.

If these things are incomplete, or contradict one another, that's going to have a negative impact on your reach.

Don't be afraid to choose one niche, it's just the door to the rest of your house. 🏡
