Using AI in public affairs to write? You are missing real value

In my AI for Public Affairs workshop for Schwarz Gruppe, we distilled seven practical habits.


If you use AI in public affairs to write, you are missing its real value.

The advantage is somewhere else:

Preparing arguments, stress-testing framing, rehearsing stakeholder meetings in voice mode.

It's not easy to replace a 4-hour session with one LinkedIn post.

But here we go.....

1️⃣ Structure prompts like a policy brief: task, role, audience, context, expectation, examples (and then save the prompt, or better yet turn them into Gems or GPTs).
2️⃣ Use one prompt to turn one position paper into several assets: stakeholder email, meeting brief, talking points.
3️⃣ Ask AI to challenge your thinking: Rehearse interviews with journalists or Commission officials in voice mode.
4️⃣ Build GPTs/gems for recurring tasks like stakeholder recaps or legislative tracking.
5️⃣ Get your AI to make you better at prompting. Ask: What do you need from me to give me a better result? What is missing in my prompt? Where is there hidden bias?
6️⃣ Structure your content for AEO/GEO, answer all questions in great detail and with much context on your own website, YouTube and LinkedIn.
7️⃣ Identify your own voice, before you use AI to scale it. Create a DNA Key.

When teams use it this way, preparation becomes faster and discussions become much sharper.
